안녕, I’m Generich!

A recently degreed Meteorologist (graduated with Bachelor of Science in Astronomy, Major in Meteorological Science) from the Rizal Technological University, Mandaluyong Campus.

Fond of Variable Stars. I’m currently focused on studying intrinsic variables within our galactic neighborhood, particularly α Orionis or widely known as Betelgeuse, using various data. They open new stellar parameters for studying their properties and allow to further delve in about a star’s formation and evolution processes.

Degreed Meteorologist. The realm where I wanted to. I often observe weather phenomena through a lot of open-access libraries and tools. Currently, focused in severe weather meteorology - tornadoes, hails, and waterspouts.

Why love Astrophysics and Meteorology? It comes down to how far you can go against all odds and enjoying new set of discoveries. So, why not study both? Best of both worlds.

LET'S STAND ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS

I’m currently hooked up to intrinsic variable stars – peculiar, pulsating hot balls of gas and plasma. I’m studying their brightness variation, mass-loss and polar fields through its light curve, spectropolarimetry and evolutionary simulations.

I love to do some weather reports in a larger scale. Using available resources-instruments, whether it be an Ensemble or Satellite imagery at different flavors, will do the trick. With such act, this will allow me to connect and empower the youth to take Meteorological Sciences.

Without scarce yet open-access resources, an astronomy and meteorology community would be fun and exciting. Specifically, instilling an exemplary astronomy on Filipinos can be utilized for discovering and sharing the beauty of the cosmos.
A weather enthusiast is always equipped with some basic instruments to track down weather events, whether in our country or yours. Start to play around with this open-access ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) model for you to get a grasp on simple layers provided.

The complete Windy website (Also available in iOS/OS) have a jam-packed of other relevant layers and an additional ensemble including a Satellite Imagery from EUMETSAT, at 3 different flavors. Make sure to check it out.

Observational Astronomy has been around since the early civilization. Mapping and gazing the starry night sky. I know you are in-love to those droplets of milk. Of course, we can’t forget occultations, conjunctions and others spectacular events. Check ‘em out using Stellarium Web to track down those celestial and stellar events (Also available iOS/OS).

Look up to the stars – Not down your feet.
